SHF band biconical antenna built using a LiteVNA
For several years now, I have been interested in the introduction of two great products, the NanoVNA (Vector Network Analyzer) and the TinySA (Spectrum Analyzer). I decided to get one when the LiteVNA, a small network analyzer similar to the NanoVNA, was recently introduced with a greatly improved frequency coverage. I was surprised that the lower limit of the frequency range of LiteVNA is 50 kHz, and the upper limit is extended to 6.3 GHz. I challenged myself to build a 5 GHz band biconical antenna using the LiteVNA. The results of the experiment, and the building of the antenna, are introduced in two parts.
